USA make fun of Independence and Independence Day

America just celebrated its 246th Independence Day on the 4th of July and it got me thinking about America’s current status. Is America really independent or is it just another oxymoron?

America has become dependent on other countries for fossil fuels, under the guise of making America more climate-friendly and “going green”. America says it’s going green because we don’t contaminate the atmosphere to produce the necessary fossil fuels, but it’s okay for another country to contaminate the atmosphere to make and sell the products in the United States to inflated prices.

Currently, the United States is home to an active lithium mine in Nevada. So where are we going to find all the lithium needed for the batteries to run electric vehicles? Once again, we will become dependent on other countries to supply the United States with the lithium needed for batteries. Let’s not forget the shortage of semiconductor chips needed to manufacture vehicles. A large majority are made in Taiwan, South Korea and China.

This whole idea of going green is fraught with pitfalls and puts America in danger! How will lithium batteries be destroyed and what will be the negative effect on our environment? The US power grid is already struggling and power plants will have to be powered by fossil fuels or nuclear power. Ultimately, going green will make it so easy for our enemies to shut down our country by simply attacking our power grid. A hybrid means of transport is a much better solution.

Currently, most pharmaceutical drugs are manufactured outside of the United States – in China and other foreign countries where drug integrity should be a primary concern. The majority of personal protective equipment used in surgeries as well as masks distributed against the COVID-19 epidemic were manufactured outside the United States.

Our government has created a significant number of tax-funded programs that have become eligibility programs. The most ridiculous entitlement programs are food stamps and welfare programs created to help needy families and have evolved into a multi-generational way of life in the United States. Programs that reward bad behavior with funds for the continued procreation of life and do not hold fathers accountable make absolutely no sense. These programs only create a dependent mindset and do not promote independence!

I’m sure many people reading the above statement will object to its content and call me cold and insensitive, so be it. I was brought up in a time when if you wanted something you worked and paid for it, it was not provided or subsidized by the government. We need to go back to the days of “you don’t eat if you don’t work”.

Ever since COVID-19 and its variants wreaked havoc on the American workforce, things have spiraled out of control. The government paid people not to work and destroyed the workforce by creating another compensation program. The unemployment rate in June was 3.6% (5.9 million people) and 4.4 million people left their jobs!!! How do these people pay for the basic necessities associated with the ever-increasing cost of living? Not a day goes by that I don’t see “we are hiring” signs everywhere but no one is applying!!!

It’s time for the United States of America to become independent again by bringing manufacturing and jobs back to this country and stop being dependent on other countries!!! Otherwise, we will continue to the point of no return!!!
